
Sunday School
Children grades pre-5th are invited to Children's Church during the 9:00 AM service, where special age-appropriate lessons are prepared weekly.
Plans are in the works to revamp and restart a Sunday School program. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact the office. Stay tuned for more information!
Middle School Youth
Confirmation for 7th and 8th Graders is coming soon! If you are in 7th or 8th grade, please contact Pastor Karl for information. If you haven't been confirmed and are interested or would like more information, contact Pastor Karl.
High School Youth--theFlock
theFlock (High School youth) continues to collect bottles and pop cans with deposit value, which can be brought to the church. Procedes from these items will go toward future youth activities.

What We're Learning
Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran is a place where the whole family, children and parents, can learn to express the life of Christ and grow in a caring community. We offer a variety of educational opportunities throughout the week as well as various monthly opportunites, which also include Children's Church for our younger children on Sundays and the occasional Sunday morning adult classes.
Adults
9:30 AM Wednesday Bible Study--This group of men and women gather together in the Christ House to study a variety of topics and enjoy fellowship together over baked goods and coffee. Past topics have included: Women of the Bible, the Holy Spirit, Parables, Seven Last Words from the Cross, Hymns and the Bible, and the book of Hebrews. The Wednesday AM class is studying various symbols of the church and what they mean.
10:30 AM Thursday Bible Study--This group meets at Lancaster Village on Market street to study a variety of topics. The study is led by Pastor Karl Hester.
Women of the ELCA (WELCA)--WELCA is an organization that is open to all women of the congregation to join in fellowship and study. There is a circle, Mary-Ruth, that meets monthly at 1:00 PM on the 3rd Mondays of the month in the Christ House (unless otherwise noted). Twice a year, WELCA hosts two larger gatherings: a Christmas Tea in December and a Salad Potluck in June. Both events include food and a program.

Children
Christ the Good Shepherd is committed to providing a safe, caring, and fun environment . A team of volunteers, equipped and passionate about leading children in age specific settings will assist greatly in challenging children to follow Jesus. Providing programs for specific ages enables us to effectively communicate who God is in a relevant way.
